28th September 2025Fulmar FeverOn the 20th of June 2026 Fulmar Fever will contest her 4th Round Ireland race and you could be part of the journey. Fulmar might be one of the older and smaller boats on the start line but don’t be fooled by that. In our last two Round Irelands we won the cruiser class. We have also completed the last two Fastnet races and three Fastnet races in total on Fulmar Fever. We usually race with 5 or 6 crew split into two watches sailing day and night for a week. Your helming and sail trimming skills will be tested but Robert and Fergal will be on hand to help and advise. By the end of the race you will know you’re a better sailor. And hopefully you can contribute some of your own sailing skills and life experience and really be a part of the team’s overall success. With any boat the crew are the most important part and will ultimately determine our success or failure. Before the race we will do our RYA Basic Sea Survival as well as deliver Fulmar from Dunmore East to Wicklow. This is all included in the contribution each sailor pays in order to turn the dream into reality. It’s worth checking out our YouTube video for the last edition of the Round Ireland. It proved quite a hit in the Irish sailing scene. https://youtu.be/j5KY5h0thcQ?si=VmPH7JvS1oVbzD6v

Looking forward to hearing from you

15th May 2026VenturosoJoin Venturoso for one of offshore sailing’s true classics, the Round Ireland Yacht Race 2026.

Held biennially and regarded as Ireland’s premier offshore yacht race, the Round Ireland covers over 700 nautical miles around one of the most spectacular and demanding coastlines in the world. Starting from Wicklow on Ireland’s east coast, the fleet races clockwise around Ireland’s rugged shores, facing everything from Atlantic squalls and heavy weather to tactical wind shadows and fast coastal sailing.

This is not a cruise — it is a serious offshore challenge and an unforgettable adventure.

Originally founded in 1980 with only thirteen entries, the race has grown into one of the highlights of the international offshore racing calendar, attracting an impressive fleet from around the world. Hosted by Wicklow Sailing Club with the famous Irish hospitality known as the Warm Wicklow Welcome, the event combines elite competition with an incredible atmosphere ashore.

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic crew members to join Venturoso, a 2009 Beneteau First 40 racer-cruiser that balances performance with practicality. Responsive, competitive, and rewarding to sail, she is ideally suited for seasoned racers looking to push themselves offshore.

Crew will also have the option to join the delivery sail from Hamble to Wicklow, adding even more valuable offshore miles and experience ahead of the race.

This campaign is ideal for sailors looking to:
• Compete in one of the world’s classic offshore races
• Gain serious offshore racing experience
• Join a motivated and competitive crew
• Experience challenging and varied sailing around Ireland’s dramatic coastline

If you’re ready for long watches, tactical racing, and an unforgettable offshore experience, we’d love to hear from you.
